Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme
Curiosity House participates in the ECCE Scheme, which provides subsidised preschool education for eligible children. A child qualifies for the ECCE Scheme starting in September of the year they turn 2 years and 8 months and remains eligible until June of the year they turn 5 years and 6 months, or until they begin primary school.
How ECCE is Administered
ECCE covers 15 hours per week during term time (September to June).
During ECCE term time, NCS funding is provided for additional hours, up to a total of 30 hours per week, depending on your child's attendance and the terms of your NCS agreement.
During mid-terms, holidays, and summer months (when ECCE payments are not made), NCS funding is adjusted and increased to account for the absence of ECCE funding. Please note that ECCE and NCS are completely separate schemes and are calculated differently based on their own individual criteria. As service operators, we do not have any influence or decision-making authority over how these schemes are calculated. Our role is to administer the schemes based on the information provided by parents and the relevant government agencies.
